    • Introduced CLIP to embed texts and images into high-dimensional vector spaces and fine-tune pre-trained model to achieve 96% precision rate.

    • Implemented k-Nearest Neighbor (kNN) and Faiss Approximate k-Nearest Neighbor (ANN) to conduct multimodal similarity searches, which include image to text, image to image, text to image, and text to text functions.

1. Leverage of Data Science for Revolutionizing Traditional Production Process

Skills: Python (Numpy/ Pandas/ SciPy/ Scikit-learn/...), Statistical Methods

  • Led AI projects and communicate with the production line to maximize the target profit.

  • Executed predictive analysis techniques through ML/ optimization with Python to increase production capacity and lessen undesirable substances during production process.

  • Used SQL and Microsoft Power BI to increase the usability and accessibility of sales data and provide data insights like YOY/ MOM growth rate according to different sales person and locations, boosting decision-making process.

2. Digital Transformation Promotion for Nan Ya Plastics

Skills: UiPath, VB.Net, C# , Power BI

  • Promoted Digital Transformation for the entire company and developed a DX roadmap with the senior manager.

  • Programmed 30+ automated processes across multiple systems including websites, databases, ERP, PDF, Email, and Excel using the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technique with UiPath.

  • Extensive technical experience in introducing the RPA technique into 12 business departments, providing technical support, collaborative planning, and troubleshooting for business units.

  • Accumulated 2 years of experience of lecturing and tutoring Python/ RPA techniques as a corporate lecturer.

  • Conducted a dashboard UI design of an infant vital sign monitor and launched it at a famous confinement center in Taiwan, raising the alertness of nurses on the newborn's health condition with the help of information displayed on the dashboard. Also held user interviews with nurses to make sustainable improvements.

  • Designed six new products based on technology trends and wrote product plans, including technical analysis, market analysis, and feasibility analysis. At the same time, I learned Illustrator and Photoshop to draw product sketches.

  • Patented two utility models relating to smart home applications (TW Patent No. M526794 U) and the Internet of Things (TW Patent No. M517882 U) in 2016. This was the first time for an intern successfully applying for patents at Trusted-Solution.

  • Predictive Analysis for Increasing Production Capacity or Reducing Cost:

    • Extracted important feature insights from industrial datasets by organizing structured and unstructured data into usable formats and conducting data preprocessing, EDA, and feature engineering techniques.

      1. Reduced 34% of COD (Chemical Oxygen Density) concentration in waste water by building a random forest model and PSO optimization after performing data preprocessing, EDA, and feature engineering techniques.


         

      2. Lessened 20% of steam consumption in the factory with a 0.87 of R2 on test data after a few weeks of model tuning and feature engineering including PCA, stepwise regression, etc.

         

      3. Other projects included reducing power usage, raising production yield, and lessening by-products.
         

  • ​Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects:

    • Deep dived into daily process using task capture and found out manual and repetitive tasks that could be automated.

    • Computerized order process and achieved 80% of order automation for the major sales department.

    • Created crawl systems to acquire news and market information, outputting reports to the departments in need.
       

  • Data Visualization projects:

    • Saved 30% of manual effort monthly for the Polyester film department by building a financial dashboard which implemented SQL to access the company’s database and Power BI to visualize sales data.

  • Led the dual-screen and secondary-display design of laptops, including but not limited to initiating market research, finding out potential needs from interviews, designing applicable user scenarios and holding cross-department brainstorming activities.

  • Planned and designed a social blog website, Anyface. The design of the interactive social website, Anyface, allows users to highlight their personal style in their personal websites, and increase the interaction with their friends. From the careful observation of the mentality of people and Internet users, a unique personalized page is created, and a special image library is provided for decorating their website pages, which can instantly reflect the current mood of the user. This provides an opportunity for people to care about their loved ones.

SQL (Novice)

Completed Administering a SQL Database Infrastructure course and passed the final exam with a grade of 100 out of 100 at Taiwan UCOM Education and Training Center in 2021. Learned to use SQL commands to filter, sort, and summarize data. Manipulate strings, dates, and numeric data using functions to integrate data from different sources into fields with the correct format for analysis.

 

Implemented SQL to query data in the ERP oracle database of the company and put them into Power BI dashboard for subsequent use of visualizing sales data, providing managers with a real-time financial dashboard.
